About USP&E

New Gas Turbine Generators scopes the package around the turbine, with USP&E responsible from drawing to commissioning.

About USP&E

Powering Possibility. Built for the Frontier.

New Gas Turbine Generators is the USP&E page for buyers of new turbine packages. USP&E is a company of power engineers that designs, constructs and runs generating stations, so it sees a turbine as one part of a plant that must be engineered, installed and run.

We work under ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, with 400+ engineers and project managers in the USA, Africa, the UK and China.

Who USP&E is

USP&E designs, builds and operates power stations. It supplies new and surplus turbines and engines, writes the engineering, builds under EPC or EPCM contracts and then operates under O&M agreements. Quality and safety systems are certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001. Its people sit in six offices on three continents and describe their approach as Speed with Excellence, with Extreme Ownership of the result.

What is in a turbine package

The turbine is the headline, but the package decides the schedule: cooling, controls and DCS, the starting system, exhaust and stack, lube oil, fire protection and the balance of plant. Our scope articles describe each system and the questions to settle before a purchase order is signed.

We also cover fuel gas specification, noise and emissions permitting, 50 or 60 Hz decisions and factory acceptance testing.

Buy new, buy used, or go modular

Route Strength Consider
New package Warranty and known duty Lead time and slot availability
Used or surplus Speed and cost Evidence of condition
Remanufactured Frame 6B Zero-hour rebuilds Gas supply and site fit
FX-45 modular Hyperscale blocks Slots from 2028

How we help you decide

1. Define duty

Load profile, fuel, site conditions.

2. Compare routes

Qualitative lead times and decision matrix.

3. Specify

Write the scope and test plan.

Lead times are a risk, not a number. We keep them in view from the first meeting.

Permits and noise, early

Noise and emissions rules can slow a project more than hardware. We map applicable limits during specification so the package includes the right silencing, stacks and monitoring from the start. Fuel gas specification is another early item: a turbine tuned for pipeline gas needs a conditioning plan if the supply differs.

Factory acceptance testing then proves the package against the specification before it ships.

Items we put in a specification

  • Cooling and starting systems: sized for site temperature.
  • Exhaust and stack: to meet emissions and noise limits.
  • Lube oil and fire protection: complete and tested.
  • Controls: DCS and protection integrated with the plant.
  • Test plan: factory and site tests with witness points.

50 and 60 Hz

Frequency matters when a plant exports power or joins an existing network. Our packages are available for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, and the FX-45 is offered for both. We check the grid, the downstream equipment and the standards in your country before recommending one.

Packages we scope

  • Open-cycle: fast to build, simple.
  • Combined-cycle: more output from the same fuel.
  • Modular: blocks that grow with load.

A power generation company that designs, builds and operates power stations.

Do you sell turbines directly?

We supply new and surplus turbines through the USP&E inventory and arrange EPC and O&M.

What is the FX-45?

A modular gas turbine: 45 MW open-cycle and 108 MW in a 2×1 combined-cycle layout, with hyperscale slots from 2028.

Can you test before shipment?

Yes. We plan factory acceptance with you.

50 Hz or 60 Hz?

Both are available. We help you choose based on grid and equipment.
